The Odyssey 70mm - excellent seat where the screen takes up most of your field of view. Didn’t feel like I was looking up or having to turn my head to track across the screen at all. Audio was loud even with ear plugs.
The screen is massive and did not feel off center to me, an amazing sweet spot.
a liiiiiiitle distorted as it’s looking up at an angle but i could still see the full screen and see every detail, and the sound comes through VERY well. i’d prefer maybe 2 or 3 rows higher, but still had a blast watching the movie from this seat and my neck didnt hurt even after 3+ hours of moviewatching. recommend getting to middle seats like this early so yoh’re not awkwardly scooting past 11 people’s knees
This seat gives you a centered, slightly low view with minimal perspective distortion. They are fabric, with hard plastic armrests and cupholders. Keep in mind that seats on the sides of the group of 4 will have stronger tilt and yaw effects than seats in the middle, and the water spray from seats next to you will hit you, even if your own is off. The 4DX Experience used to be very hard to enjoy, but since the tuning has calmed down, you’re no longer too busy trying not to get thrown out of your seat to enjoy the amazing screen and immersive effects. Ash, wind, rain and fog can creep from out of and around the screen into your peripheral vision. The motion rig will lean you naturally, whether gently or suddenly, with the movement onscreen. The subwoofer under your seat will push vibrations through your body. In all of these things there can still be some discomfort, however. Especially the actuators built into the somewhat stiff backs of the seats, which are liable to jab you in the kidneys. The artificial scents can also leave a weird taste in your mouth. All of these factors entirely depend on what the programmer tells the environment to do, and in my experience, it’s only gotten better with time.
Great seat, felt like I was immersed in the movie. Center enough without feeling too boxed into the middle. Can also barely see movement around you like in the aisle which is nice
Excellent! Photos are taken 1x and 0.5x from phone camera. Pretty centered and very immersive.
Off center but middle of screen and no obstruction
Seconded, better experience than Lincoln IMAX. Comfort and sight and sound and clarity
Honestly too far back, but a perfect view of the entire screen! The wall in front of the seats aren’t blocking the view when fully reclined.
